Today we just decided to drive and see what we see. This morning we went swimming at the hot natural springs in Sulfur Springs, and yes we still stink like sulfur, but the water sure felt nice! The temperature of the pool was like a warm bath, it felt so nice just to soak. Cornelius had fun too because all of the pools were only 2 feet deep, so just the perfect depth for him to race with Mom & Dad . After the soak, we decided to take a drive to Steamboat Springs. Today we did more hiking up in Rocky Mountain National Park. We saw a female elk on the side of the road and got a really great photo. We also saw a male elk while we were hiking . . . wow they look really big in person. We also saw a deer hop across the path. After we got tired of hiking we drove to the top of Trail Ridge Road. It was a fantastic view. This afternoon is rained on us so we did some shopping in Grand Lake. We are having a great time in Colorado. ...
Today we went for an old fashioned train ride. Cornelius loved it and just couldn’t get enough of it! Tonight we played some racquetball to burn off a little energy. Mommy & Cornelius on the train Waving at the engine! Mmmm....
We went for a very exciting hike in Rocky Mountain National Park. This will forever be my vacation story where we walked uphill both ways . . . in the snow. Yes, in the snow! We got about ½ mile away from the car and it started to snow. We hiked a little bit further, and the sun popped out, so we decided we could go a little further. Then 3 miles away from the car and it started to snow again. This time it was a more steady snow, add on top of that a 3 year old who...
